Bill took his shot amid the anxiety surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak at Allen Gardens because he thought the contrast was beautiful. “At the bottom, you can see where the leaves have died. Behind, there is the solarium where seeds were planted. At the top, you see the city rising out of the ashes. It certainly feels like that’s what happening right now—out of the ashes there will be a new beginning, with a modern city and new thinking.”
