A New Start

Taken in the Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto, Mel’s photo of a flower opening to the sun illustrates how rain nourishes everything and makes things new. “The fresh rain glistening off the petals, the way it sparkles, it makes me feel joyful. It is like the embodiment of a fresh start.” There is always beauty in nature, and it can help us, Mel says. “It keeps us grounded. The beauty can keep you going.”
