During the COVID-19 pandemic, John snapped a photo of a dog wearing a mask in a park near King and Church Streets in Toronto. Although it was a sign of the times, the scene was unique. “I can relate to the dog, just looking for food, having not much to say. Sometimes people feel that way. It is so hard to connect with a mask on. You can’t see people’s smiles anymore.”
