Memories of Old Toronto

Word on the street was that the Filmores Hotel, a Toronto landmark bar, was about tobe torn down to build condos, so Jay wanted to preserve the image. An army veteran who moved to Toronto from England, Jay experienced homelessness in the late 1990s and can relate to people who find themselves on the street. His photo brings back happy memories from his youth. “My brother lived around the corner from Filmores a long time ago,” he recalls.
