Bob’s photo was taken in his favourite neighbourhood, Kensington Market, where he has lived and sold art. “I wanted to show a juxtaposition: no one wants homelessness, but some people choose it as an alternative. There’s also a sense of freedom to it. The freedom of fresh air and a beautiful world.” Compared to the small town of Halifax where Bob grew up, Toronto has always felt like Hollywood. He likes Kensington Market as it’s filled with radical punks and fellow artists.
